Troop 5 Scoutmaster Announcements – Feb 3, 2026

The troop decided at tonight’s meeting to forego the planned ski trip at the end of this month and instead go to Glow-N-Skate at Chilled Ponds Chesapeake on Saturday the 28th at 7pm. Cost is $15 per person; family and friends are welcome to attend. We’ll figure out any carpooling as the event gets closer. If you’ve never skated before, this is a great opportunity to learn and have some fun doing it.

Our second open house is next week! Our scouts have planned some great stations and are excited to show them to potential youth. Please invite any youth ages 11-17 to come visit!

On the following Tuesday, February 17th, the church is hosting a pancake supper in the social hall. Scouts are welcome to attend ahead of our meeting, which will be relocated to the education wing.

We need 5 scouts to volunteer to help in the morning service – 3 readers and 2 flag bearers. We also need 2 more scouts to help with the crossover ceremony at Pack 24 that afternoon, to welcome in our newest scout.
