Troop 5 Scoutmaster Announcements – Feb 10, 2026

Thanks to all of the scouts and leaders who helped with our open house tonight. And we’re still recruiting! Please let any interested youth know that they are welcome to attend any of our Tuesday meetings.

Next Tuesday, February 17th, the church is hosting a pancake supper in the social hall. Scouts, parents, and leaders are invited to attend ahead of our troop meeting. We will meet in a classroom in the education wing while the church finishes and cleans up from the dinner in the social hall. The troop committee should meet in the conference room like usual.

Sign up for our Scout Sunday potluck brunch. We need 5 scouts to volunteer to help in the morning service – 3 readers and 2 flag bearers. Readings will be distributed next Tuesday. We also still need 2 more scouts to help with the crossover ceremony at Pack 24 that afternoon, to welcome in our newest scout.

On February 24th, we will hold our annual Order of the Arrow (OA) elections. OA is scouting’s “honor society”. Scouts must be at least First Class rank and have camped at least 20 nights in the past 2 years to be eligible. We need at least 50% of our troop to be present for the election to take place, so be sure to attend that evening!
