Troop 5 Scoutmaster Announcements – Feb 17, 2026

Scout Sunday is THIS Sunday! All scouts and families are invited to attend the 9:30am church service at 9:30am. Scouts should arrive early by 9:15am so that we can ensure we have all of our roles covered for reading and carrying in and out the flags.

And for those who can’t get enough scouting for one Sunday, we will be welcoming our newest scout crossing over from Pack 24 at their Blue & Gold ceremony at 3pm that afternoon at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 6400 Newport Ave. All scouts are invited to attend to help welcome our newest member.

Next Tuesday, we will hold our annual Order of the Arrow (OA) elections. OA is scouting’’’s “honor society”. Scouts must be at least First Class rank and have camped at least 20 nights in the past 2 years to be eligible. We need at least 50% of our troop to be present for the election to take place, so be sure to attend that evening! (Side note – Mr. Van Kirk leads our OA chapter and should be present for those needing to turn in Personal Fitness logs.)
