Troop 5 Scoutmaster Announcements – Sep 29, 2026

We had another future scout visit us this Tuesday. Scouts need buddies, so tell your friends and invite them to visit too!

This week, we practiced bandages and will continue more First Aid next week. It’s a great opportunity for seasoned scouts to teach newer scouts. If you are below First Class rank, please be sure to bring your scout handbook each week so we can sign off on the things you have learned!

Looking ahead, our PLC (youth leaders) will soon be planning our October campout. This campout is typically great camping weather and presents a fantastic opportunity for us to teach and practice a lot of scouting’s core skills – first aid, fire safety, tool safety, cooking, and some hiking. Scouts, please plan to join us October 16-18th for this fun weekend trip.

Another call for volunteers for our troop centennial celebration on December 5th. We especially need help with audio/visual preparations, photography, and videography. Please let me know if you are able to contribute your time and talents.
