This Tuesday, we’ll take some kayaks and a couple paddleboards on Knitting Mill Creek. Meet at the Highland Park Veterans Kayak Launch (https://maps.app.goo.gl/LiaMPRcHq3web9cd9) at 6:30pm. Those scouts needing to complete their First Class line and tender requirement should meet a half hour earlier at 6:00pm. Wear your swimsuit and bring water. Bring lifejackets if you have any.
This coming Tuesday August 13th we will meet for our final summer outing at the Windemiller house on 48th St off Colley Ave for kayaking and paddleboarding on Knitting Mill Creek.
So that we can ensure we have sufficient equipment, please reply to the scoutmasters with RSVP of names of everyone who plans to attend and participate, plus any lifejackets and/or water craft you can bring. Guests are welcome to attend and experience Troop 5 fun first hand; please include any guest information in your reply.
Unfortunately we do not have enough adult leaders available tonight for us to host our outing at the fishing pier as previously planned. The PLC can consider the possibility of a makeup date in their future planning.
A reminder that we are meeting this Tuesday at 5:30pm (not 6:30pm) at Partee’s Blacklight 3D Mini Golf (#405 in the Premium Outlets) to play mini golf (no meeting at the church). This is indoors so no need to worry if it storms. Cost is $14+tax per person. We will finish no later than 7:00pm when the course closes. Friends and other potential scouts are welcome!
Out of caution with the extreme heat this evening, we are cancelling our beach volleyball outing. Thanks everyone for your understanding.
We look forward to seeing everyone next Tuesday, July 23rd at 5:30pm at Partee’s 3D Blacklight Mini Golf (indoors so no need to worry about the weather).
A reminder that we are meeting this Tuesday at 6:30pm at the Ocean View fishing pier to play beach volleyball (no meeting at the church). We will meet on the beach just off the parking lot. Be sure to bring plenty of water! Also bring beach shoes for sensitive feet (the sand can be hot).

Cost: Scouts = $29 & Adults = $18
Program Feature:
Unsanctioned human experiments have created Zombies. They have escaped from a secret Laboratory and now have infiltrated into the Pipsico area. We need you to find the keys to the now thought to be abandoned labs’ safe in order to unlock and recover the formula for the antidote. We need your bravery, determination and scout skills to save Pipsico. You are our only hope!
There will be a cracker-barrel Friday and Saturday evening. No other food is provided. Participants should plan and bring their own meals.
Event patches will be provided. The Zomboree is structured as a competition, “camporee” style event that will test your teamwork and scouting skills in order to survive a Zombie outbreak. Teams may compete for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, or simply participate for fun.
A reminder that we are meeting this Tuesday at 6:30pm at Lafayette Park to play disc golf (no meeting at the church). We will meet at the large playground. Bring discs if you have them; if you don’t, we should have extras.
